Human Resources Manager – Almonte, ON

The Human Resources Manager partners with our 3Sixty Secure Corp leaders to help the business succeeds and supports all Human Resources related activities. This support includes talent management, organization effectiveness, employee/labour relations, compensation planning, performance management, benefits administration, learning & training initiatives and staffing. Our HR Manager supports the execution of company-wide Human Resource initiatives for our leadership and deliver top-tier HR services while maintaining the utmost confidentiality. Providing direction and guidance on employee transactions, handling escalations, and assisting with support of the development and delivery of HR processes training. Supporting the Director, HR as a subject matter expert, this position is responsible for the daily support to our managers and employees to ensure HR service delivery excellence, providing input into performance evaluations, wage increases, bonuses, discipline, and promotions.

LOCATION: This position is located in our Almonte, Ontario office location.


  • Assist with day-to-day execution of duties ensuring proper procedures, policies, and requirements
  • Assure that HR transactions, data, and services are timely, accurate, and compliant with company and regulatory requirements
  • Provide back-up within the HR group as required and perform transactions when necessary
  • Handle escalated and/or sensitive requests and issues related to HR services where needed
  • Escalate particularly specialized, difficult, or sensitive matters to the appropriate HR resource and assure that files are updated and maintained accordingly
  • Provide excellent service to ensure activities provide the intended experience for our leaders in an efficient and effective manner
  • Investigate, resolve, or escalate workplace issues in a manner that is consistent, fare, and is efficiently tracked in accordance with federal and provincial regulations and company policy
  • Advise managers and employees on performance management, employee policies and recommend solutions
  • Work with the Director, HR in managing any additional communication or training as needed
  • Respond to tactical policy questions and interpretations, and provide entry level investigation support
  • Escalate issues and follow-up with the Director, HR in a timely manner for appropriate resolution
  • Resolve employee relations issues in a fair, consistent, timely and accurate manner while keeping aligned with 3Sixty Secure Corp policies and procedures to minimize potential legal risk
  • Provides day-to-day advice and counsel to managers on a wide range of employee/labour relations issues including progressive counseling, performance management, company policies and procedures
  • Utilize the ER/LR case management system to track cases from intake to resolution
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to managers, HR team members to consult, advise, coach, educate and provide decision making support to the business on a variety of employee relations issues
  • Identify root-causes for mid to high-level employee issues and partner with Director, HR or line managers to provide resolution
  • Engage and provide excellent customer service to the employees, managers, and other key stakeholders throughout the investigation process
  • Work closely with Director, HR to ensure consistent application of company policies and processes and to ensure adherence to laws and regulations
  • Assist in building and maintaining of content on Learning Management System (LMS), to improve contact center functions and encourage self-service resolutions
  • Provides overall advice and assistance on employee relations, discipline, adverse actions, grievances, employee counseling and related functions
  • Advise and assist employees, managers and supervisors on grievance procedures and appropriate options for proper resolutions of conflict problems
  • Responsible for the development and implementation of operational standards and processes that directly contribute to optimal results, effectiveness, and efficiencies of the HR and Employee Service Center service team
  • Provide feedback to the Director, HR regarding the services of third-party providers to assure accurate and effective performance in adherence to established service levels and compliance standards
  • Provide subject matter expertise within the Employee Service Center for continued training and employee educational purposes
  • Assist in the development, reporting, and review of metrics to drive performance, identify trends, and develop/implement process improvements, escalating issues and proposed solutions as appropriate
  • Ensure all Company, federal, provincial, local, and other applicable compliance requirements are met
  • Assist the Director, HR with the execution of the compliance programs, internal audits, external audits, and government audits as needed
  • Coach and mentor team members as needed to support a high-performance team
  • Effectively manage day-to-day service delivery requests using established company tools/methodology
  • Provide input to personnel decisions (e.g., compensation, recognition, transfer, promotion) as requested
  • Assure that company policies and practices are followed, and set an example for team members
  • Participate in the development and delivery of training for internal staff, specialist groups, or others as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Management, Organization Development, or equivalency in a related field, preferably working towards a CHRP/CHRL Human Resources designation
  • 5+ years of functional Management or Senior HR Generalist experience in a unionized environment; similar work experience in an open shop environment would be an asset
  • Knowledge of legal and regulatory aspects within employment and labour laws (Provincial & Federal), including labour relations experience, specifically negotiating Collective Agreements and facilitating solutions within a Unionized business environment
  • Experience and understanding of enabling technologies (e.g., case management, manager self-service) and how they work within a customer service business environment
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Office 365, SharePoint).
  • Strong communication and inter-personal skills required
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to analyze and interpret facts
  • Ability to build cross-functional relationships and interact effectively
  • Strong professional and HR operational knowledge
  • Understanding of end-to-end processes
  • Experience leading and mentoring other staff
  • Experience delivering and improving HR services to maximize efficiency & deliver quality services
  • Experience working, monitoring, and interacting with third-party vendors
  • Experience with an HRIS system (Dayforce preferred), Microsoft tools and applications is required
